Margaret co-founded the firm in 1998 after six years at a national firm’s Denver office, where she learned the two things that decided how this one would be built: that the partner who assesses a case is rarely the one who tries it, and that most clients are billed for that gap.
She tries commercial cases. Roughly forty of her matters have gone to a verdict or an arbitration award, and a good many more have ended at summary judgment or in a mediation that went the client’s way because the other side had read the motion. She is the partner who scopes a matter in month one and the partner who stands up in month twenty.
Representative matters

- Tried a contract and trade-secret case for a software vendor against a former reseller, and recovered the disputed licence revenue with fees.
- Resolved a four-party partnership dissolution in mediation after the dispositive motions were filed but before any of them were heard.
